The Annenberg Innovation Lab places an emphasis on research that combines theory and practice within the digital media revolution and its impact on governments, businesses, education, creators and consumers.

We host ongoing Think & Do Tanks that bring together students, executives, artists, entrepreneurs, scholars and policy makers to collaboratively incubate new ideas for the research and development of new applications, platforms, media genres and practices.

The Lab’s research fellows represent leading scholars and practitioners in the fields of communication, journalism, PR, engineering, business, cinema, the arts, and education. We approach each area of research in a multidisciplinary fashion. Currently, the Annenberg Innovation Lab focuses on three research-design themes for the purpose of exploring the technological implications as well as the cultural analytic context. The themes are:
